About the event

Boost the Block Party Goes Green!

Greater Bergen Community Action is excited to invite you to the 2nd annual Boost the Block Party – and we’re introducing an environmental twist! This year Boost the Block Party Goes Green, in partnership with the Northern New Jersey Community Foundation, will take our commitment to the community and the environment to the next level.

This event is all about bringing neighbors together, providing community resources, and educating our neighborhood about environmental and sustainable practices. During the event, Northern New Jersey Community Foundation will be doing a live rain garden installation. There will also be healthy home assessments, immigrant resources, preschool enrollment, voter registration, healthcare for the uninsured, HIV & STI resources, financial literacy and banking, and more. And it isn’t a Boost the Block Party without free food, kids' activities, raffles, and raffle prizes!

Whether you’re a long-time resident or new to the area, this is the perfect opportunity to meet friendly faces, receive helpful resources from local community organizations, and make meaningful connections. So mark your calendars for Saturday, June 1st (RAIN DATE: June 8th), at Hackensack High School, and bring your family and friends for a day filled with community building and fun!
