Landlord/Tenant Dispute Guidance
OVERVIEW
The Greater Bergen Housing Coalition provides outreach and guidance to low income individuals and families in matters of Landlord-Tenant issues. Individuals involved in landlord-tenant disputes are counseled and informed of their rights and responsibilities under Federal and State Fair Housing Laws, as well as local rent control ordinances and other applicable statutes. Staff of the GBHC also provides regular consultation and assistance to other social service agencies, public officials, municipal governments and community groups.

SERVICES

Individual Counseling and Group Workshops are provided on Landlord-Tenant Rights under Federal and State Fair Housing Laws.

Referrals to legal services and housing assistance resources.

Referrals and assistance in acquiring affordable housing.

Referrals to housing and credit counseling.
WHO WE SERVE

The services of the GBHC are open to all Bergen County residents who are low to moderate income.

Our staff also visits Senior Citizen Centers upon request.

Our offices are closed to the public but assistance is being provided via phone and email.
