This Flag Is Your Flag

The United States is known as the “Melting Pot” of the world for a reason—many people from all over the globe come to this country to build a better life for themselves and their families. It may be hard to transition into your new life and community due to various factors such as language barriers, cultural differences and you may even be wary about your citizenship status.

GBCA Education and Training Center’s (ETC) New Americans program assists immigrants wishing to obtain U.S. citizenship through the naturalization process. All services are free of charge and covers U.S. law and life skills, giving foreign-born individuals the knowledge and confidence to fully integrate in the United States. With a focus on American civics and culture, the goal is to help ease the transition of immigrants so that they feel at home in their new community. For more information on the New Americans program contact the case manager, Lilliam Cartagena, at (201) 366-1020 or visit our site at www.greaterbergen.org.
