Jerome J. Lombardo is the President and CEO of C. J. Lombardo Real Estate Company of Hackensack. Mr. Lombardo graduated Tenafly High School and went on to earn a degree in Business Management from the University of Dayton. He then returned to the family business located in Hackensack where he became the second generation working with his father C. Jerome Lombardo’s real estate business.
He has spent the better part of his lifetime working at his company’s headquarters in Hackensack. He now has over 40 years’ experience as a Licensed R.E. Broker in New Jersey.
Over the years, the company slowly transitioned from brokerage and appraisals to equity ownership. The company currently owns and manages a portfolio of commercial, shopping center, hotel and office properties as well as over four thousand multi-family residential units located in properties throughout the northeast and south.
Mr. Lombardo has served on many boards including several North Jersey Banks, the New Jersey Apartment Association, the Wyckoff Zoning Board of Adjustment, (former Chairman) and the Bergen County Community Action Partnership. In addition, he is currently serving as an advisory director of Lakeland Bank. In 2004, he was elected as the Chairman of Hackensack’s Main Street Business Alliance where he and many others have devoted countless hours working to revitalize the Central Business District. The Alliance, over a period of time, working with the Hackensack’s governing body was able to get the critical zoning changes enacted which allowed for the metamorphous of Hackensack’s downtown and has been recognized as the catalyst which have helped spur redevelopment of Hackensack’s Business district.
He considers Hackensack his true home and is proud of what has been accomplished there. He has been married to Rosanne for forty plus years and has three children, Andrew, Jerome and Valerie and is greatly enjoying his five grandchildren. He is an avid Saltwater fisherman and enjoys playing golf when he has any free time.
