Title: Food and Nutrition Worker
Reports to: Food Service Worker/Manager/Supervisor
LOCATION: Paterson, NJ OR Cliffside Park, NJ
The role of the Food Service Worker is to participate in participate in the preparation of food and everything that may be associated with such preparation.
Maintain cooking levels for all designated programs
Preparation of meal assignments
Preparation of ingredients for meal assignments
Operation of equipment and utensils needed for meal assignments
Maintenance of all preparation areas and utensils in sanitary condition
Follow all procedures as directed by the department’s Supervisor
Assume additional assignments as directed by the site Manager/Supervisor or other Administrators
Maintain high status of cleanliness and readiness of the service areas
Sweep and mop areas of preparation and serving
Must be able to lift at least 20 lbs.
Assist in putting away stock items
Ability to communicate and take direction from a supervisor
Ability to work neatly
Maintain a professional appearance
Ability to read, write and speak English
Possess a food service certificate or pass exam
Must be able to pick up 20 lbs
Must pass a physical exam
