ABOUT WEATHERIZATION/BPI TRAINING

Weatherization helps home owners, small businesses and other organizations reduce energy costs and keep their occupants healthy and comfortable, by making their facilities “energy-efficient.”

Skilled workers are needed to perform this service, which includes analyzing what energy saving measures are needed and then applying a comprehensive process of proven methods, including weather stripping and window repair to weatherize the structure.

GBCA’s Weatherization Training Program teaches these skills and prepares trainees for nationally-recognized certifications by the Building Performance Institute (BPI).
