1st Booster
Eligibility Requirements:
Everyone ages 5 years and older
When:
5 months after the primary series of Pfizer or Moderna; or 2 months after the primary series of Johnson & Johnson
For people who are moderately or severely immunocompromised, at least 3 months after the final dose in the primary series
2nd Booster
Eligibility Requirements:
Adults ages 50 years and older
People ages 12 years and older who are moderately or severely immunocompromised
When:
At least 4 months after the 1st booster

Increases benefits of the primary vaccination series
Builds stronger and longer lasting protection against COVID-19
Increases protection for the most vulnerable populations
Maintains community safety, herd immunity
Reduces hospitalization rates
Reduces severity of symptoms caused by illness
