Greater Bergen Community Action Cares for India

As a second wave of COVID-19 plagues the country of India, sadly leaving many families devastated by the outcome, Greater Bergen Community Action expresses our sincerest concern and support for the Indian and Southeast Asian communities during this difficult time.

You are all in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers as you fight to overcome this relentless, deadly virus — and while we have faith that you will, we know that together, in solidarity with you, we can all help expedite the relief process.

We also encourage all who can to get vaccinated as we continue to work for equity.

Vaccinations are critical to mitigating the impacts of COVID-19, as it not only protects you, but also those around you. One of the many things COVID has taught us is that our connectedness, despite geographical separation, race and age, is much greater than we have known.

None of us are safe until we are all safe.

In the spirit of togetherness, we’re calling on government and local officials, community members and everyone else in between to step up and assist wherever and however you can.

Here are a few ways you can help:

- BAPS Charities COVID-19 Relief Fund: New Jersey based Temple. BAPS Charities, through its partner hospitals and volunteers in India, is providing the lifesaving resources including: Ventilators, Oxygen Concentrators, Medicine, Meals, Ration Kits, Fresh Vegetables, PPE, Temporary Beds
