Recommendations for Fully COVID-19 Vaccinated People

After you are fully vaccinated

You can:

1. Visit with other fully vaccinated people indoors without wearing masks or social distancing

2. Visit with a low-risk, single household of unvaccinated people without wearing masks or social distancing

3. Refrain from quarantine and testing following a known exposure if asymptomatic

4. Travel domestically without testing prior to going and upon return

5. Travel domestically without quarantining upon return

6. Travel internationally without a pre-travel test, depending on destination

7. Travel internationally without quarantining upon return

You shouldn’t:

1. Visit indoors, without a mask, with people at high-risk for severe illness from COVID-19

2. Attend medium or large gatherings

You should continue to:

1. Take precautions in public like wearing a well-fitted mask and physical distancing

2. Wear masks, practice physical distancing, and adhere to other prevention measures when visiting with unvaccinated people who are at high-risk of severe illness or death from COVID-19 or who have an unvaccinated household member who is at increased risk for severe COVID-19 disease

3. Wear masks, maintain physical distance, and practice other prevention measures when visiting with unvaccinated people from multiple households

4. Avoid medium and large-sized in-person gatherings

5. Get tested if experiencing COVID-19 symptoms

6. Follow guidance issued by individual employers

7. Follow CDC and health department travel requirements and recommendations

8. Wear a mask on all forms of public transportation traveling into, within, or out of the United States, and in U.S. transportation hubs such as airports and stations

9. Follow guidance at your workplace

** Note from the CDC: After you’ve been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, you should keep taking precautions—like wearing a mask, staying 6 feet apart from others, and avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces—in public places until we know more. **
