TAPinto: ‘City of Hackensack Still Accepting Applications for Low-Middle Income Renter’s Assistance'

HACKENSACK, NJ - The City of Hackensack is still accepting applications for its Low-to-Middle Income Renter’s Assistance Program.

Greater Bergen Community Action, Inc. is administering the program for city residents. Eligible residents can receive a one-time stimulus payment of $1,000. Direct payments of $1,000 will be made to tenants by the City of Hackensack upon successful approval of their application.

Applicants who received rental assistance through the State Covid 19 Emergency Rental Assistance Program (CVERAP), or the Bergen County Emergency Rental Assistance Program, or are eligible to apply for those programs, are ineligible for this City program because of a duplication of benefits.
